Variable Frequency Desuperheating and Reducing Device
I. Purpose
Variable frequency desuperheating and reducing device reduces pressure P1 and temperature T1 of primary (new) steam from heat source (power plant, industrial boiler and thermal power plant etc.), so secondary steam pressure P2 and temperature T2 reach requirements of production process. It is widely used in power plant, light textile, petrochemical and papermaking industries. 
Integrated variable frequency desuperheating and reducing device consists of desuperheating and reducing valve, restriction orifice, steam pipeline, safety valve, feed-regulating valve, throttle valve, stop valve, check valve, desuperheating water pipe, flange and standard components. Main feature is that temperature and pressure reduction is completed in the same valve body, so length of the whole device is greatly shortened. More compact structure reduces floor space and facilitates on-site installation and layout.
Variable frequency desuperheating and reducing valve adopts dual valve seats and built-in detachable nozzle, with small unbalanced force, wide regulation range and stable action, so it isn’t locked. Variable frequency actuator removes traditional lever articulated mechanism, reduces idle stroke and uses energy reasonably. It doesn’t open frequently during control, but keeps a stable working condition and saves more than 30% energy. Meanwhile, it obviously reduces noise, prolongs service life, and further enhances sensitivity and accuracy of regulation system. 
According to differential pressure of desuperheating water, desuperheating system adopts different types of feed-regulating valve to reduce valve leakage rate and reasonably distribute differential pressure of water supply system. The same caliber can choose different flow coefficient values (CV), so as to enhance regulation sensitivity and accuracy of temperature regulation system greatly.
Ordering Instruction
Please provide the following information when entering into a contract:
1. Outlet steam flow Q, inlet steam pressure P1, temperature t1, outlet steam pressure P2 and temperature t2; 
2. Desuperheating water supply pressure Pb、temperature tb;
3. Indicate control mode (instrument control, PLC control or DCS control);
4. Control category: electric and pneumatic;
Please provide the following information when choosing pneumatic actuator: 
1) Action mode: air open type or air close type; 
2) Air supply pressure; 
3) Provide electrical signal of electropneumatic valve positioner;
5. Other special requirements shall be indicated after negotiations or included in another technical agreement. 
Note: Due to various parameters of desuperheating and reducing device, in order to provide users with detailed and accurate conceptual drawings, designers and users shall provide detailed technological parameters. The company will design every set of device and provide conceptual drawings, in order to facilitate construction drawings and use as contract attachments.
